Responsibilities

 

• Be responsible for the development of the technology solutions and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan.

• Review, interpret and respond to detailed business requirements specifications to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future ICT capability

• Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the return on technology investment

• Within the agreed enterprise architecture, define and design technology solutions to assist the business in meeting their business objectives

• Develop, test and implement technology solutions and report on delivery commitments to ensure solutions are implemented as expected and to agreed timeframes

• Identify system, infrastructure and project interdependencies and balance competing for demands to ensure project deliverables are achieved.

• Work with the Project Managers and Business Analysts to develop high-level project schedule resource plans for implementation projects.

Qualifications

 

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field

• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in large software design and coordinating project teams.

• Required language(s): Fluency in English

• At least 6 years of JAVA or PHP (object-oriented) programming experience.

• At least 3 years of UML experience.

• 6+ years of experience designing and developing database structures

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Mastery of user interface design skills

• Experience in designing layered architecture (ex. MVC model)

• Skills in designing network (L2/L3 layers) are preferable

• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (ex. VMWare) and storage technologies (ex. NAS, SAN) is preferable

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences.

• Strong critical thinker with problem-solving aptitude.

• Ability to develop solution architecture designs.

• Working knowledge of infrastructure including servers, storage, firewalls, load balancers, routers, etc
