ABOUT OUR TRAINEE PROGRAM

Searchplus’s Management Training Program is a unique, entry-level program that offers career growth potential in a fast-paced professional environment. Our goal is to set the stage for you to grow your career with us.

 

Candidates who get selected to join as a Recruitment Consultant Trainee at Searchplus will face a highly intensive 6 months program that will kick start their journey to become a full-fledged Executive Search Consultant specialist. During this program you will have clearly defined weekly targets and monthly achievements to measure and track your growth and skill sets. Each month you will receive intensive training to nurture your commercial & professional knowledge, as well as soft skills and gain more knowledge through on-job training. Regular quality feedback sessions will be held each month to keep track of your progress so that we customize your career progress plan at Searchplus.
 

Each Trainee will be closely mentored by our Consultants, Industry Subject Matter Experts and Partners about the skills that will enable them to deliver highly effective solutions for both our candidates, clients and other external/internal stakeholders. The training will cover basic skills such as market research, candidate calling, how to fully utilize recruiting sourcing resources (professional job platforms, internet, and our internal database), to more advanced skills such as interview techniques, candidate assessment, cold calling, managing clients/candidates and business generation. 

 

Joining the Searchplus Trainee program will give your career a head start and at the end of your Trainee program you will have gained excellent verbal and written communication/influencing skills, and you will have the ability to build rapport and talk credibly with any kind of high level candidate.

 

Our program is structured around training you to acquire key skillsets that every fresh grad needs in order for him or her to have a successful career. At the end of the Trainee program, outstanding performers will be offered a fulltime position either in our Kuala Lumpur office or Shanghai office.

Title: Recruitment Consultant Trainee

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Common Ground, Q Sentral

Working Hours: 10:00-19:00, Monday-Friday

Report to: Country Manager, Malaysia

Duration: 6 months (Can lead to a full-time position)

Salary: Fixed Salary + Bonus

Salary: We provide free accommodation to our staff in Shanghai during their first year as a full-time employee at Searchplus.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

  • Our Trainees are integral members of search execution teams, combining research, consultative and advocacy skills to deliver extraordinary service to Searchplus clients.

  • Connecting with passive candidates via our database, cold calling, and referrals from current/past talent and candidates

  • Our Trainees are active members of client service teams, gathering, synthesizing, and presenting information and data associated with client engagements and market opportunities.

  • At the beginning of each assignment, they assist our consultants in the development of the search strategy, including constructing company target lists, researching candidate profiles and matching necessary competencies to executive experience, drawing from internal, external and contracted resources.

  • Writing of candidate reports, conduct reference check, prepare related files for clients and follow up with candidates

  • Trainees can be included on business development activities and are encouraged to develop in-depth knowledge of given industry sectors and/or functional specialties. This includes gaining awareness of current news and issues, developing a perspective on competitive landscapes, understanding market influences, tracking share performance and explaining relevant trends.

  • Outstanding Trainees will be considered for full-time positions in Searchplus over time if their performance meet´s our expectations.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be fluent in Chinese, both written and oral

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is a must

  • Excellent project management skills – ability to manage multiple projects at once

  • Analytical skills, organized and methodical

  • Excellent spirit as demonstrated by high level of collaboration and a willingness to go the extra mile, supplemented by curiosity, energy, maturity and self-confidence

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with people at all levels within the organization, as well as with candidates and clients

  • Prior experiences in a client facing or sales-related background would be an advantage

  • Result driven and solution focused

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree

  • A great customer service focus and a great team player

  • Creative thinker, flexible and high integrity
